Are you searching for a new job or a new career? If you are, you may have searched for jobs online or even in your newspaper’s employment section. Although these resources are great ones, you may want to think about trying career fairs, as they are a great way to find available job positions, as well as apply for them at the same time.

Although there is a good chance that you have heard of a career fair before, there is also a chance that you haven’t. If you didn’t already know, career fairs are events that are often free and held in large public places. Most career fairs are held at hotels or in shopping malls. During a career fair, a number of employers, particularly those who are hiring, set up booths. Those booths are where participating employers will have information, including pictures, write ups, and more, about their company displayed. Most career fair employer participants also often have a company representative or two on hand, to accept applications and sometimes even do onsite interviews.

As nice as it is to know what career fairs are, you may be wondering why you should attend one. As it was previously mentioned, a large number of employers often come to career fairs. The exact number will all depend on the size of the establishment in question. Even the smallest of career fairs tend to house about forty or fifty hiring employers. Using the internet or searching for job listings in your local newspaper will never be able to produce this many employers in such a small amount of time.

Career fairs are also nice because the participating employers often run different types of businesses. For instance, at one of your local career fairs, employers looking for construction workers, nurses, secretaries, or teachers could have booths set up. This is nice because it can give you ideas or cause you to examine another job or career, one that you may have not thought of before. Also, when attending a career fair, you are under no obligation to provide prospective employers with your resume or your contact information, although it is advised that you do so. This means that you could not only use a career fair to find available jobs, but you can also use them to examine all of your options or to set new career goals for yourself.

If you are interested in attending a career fair, you will need to be able to find them. As it was previously mentioned, most career fairs are held in public establishments, like hotels or shopping centers. Many career fairs are advertised at their locations in advance. It may be a little bit harder to examine local hotels, but you may be able to see career fair signs when shopping at your favorite retail stores. You should also be able find out about locally hosted career fairs by using the internet or your local newspapers, as many career fair organizers take out advertisements.

The decision as to whether or not you want to attend a career fair is yours to make, but it is something that may result in a new job or a new career. For the best chance of success at career fairs, you will want to make sure that you dress professionally, bring extra copies of your resume to handout, as well as always be prepared for an interview. All career fairs are different, but some employers are known to give prospective candidates interviews right on the spot, as well as hire new employees!

Rhode Island has the nations highest unemployment rate, because the Rhode Island government has not created an environment that is business friendly, Little Rhody has lost more jobs that ever before.

This can be a tough situation for out of work Rhode Island sales and marketing people, as they are mainly 1099 employees and don’t have unemployment insurance or other benefits. If they do have benefits, they pay dearly for them out of pocket.

There are people making a lot of cash on opportunities in this downturn. Why can’t you? There are money making opportunities everywhere, including Rhode Island. You just need to know how to spot them.

I was one of those people who lost their job. I searched frantically online for ways to make money with little or no cash. I had no online marketing skills. So after a couple of days of research, I choose an online marketing university to learn whatever I could. It was only $39 a month to join and there was nothing to buy for any course, everything was included.

I learned about Google Adwords, and how to market a successful Google Adwords campaign using low cost keywords and keyword phrases. The knowledge I learned in the Google Adwords course is enough to make me a consultant to local businesses on Google Adwords campaigns. I am now offering my services to set up successful online advertising campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines. Local business owners need an edge in today’s economy. The average Google Adwords Pro makes $65 an hour doing campaigns for businesses.

I learned how to use free online article marketing techniques as a way to drive traffic to affiliate websites. I get a commission every time a sale is made through my traffic. I mainly sell ebooks since there is a 50% to 70% commission per sale. There are literally thousands of ebooks on every imaginable subject. Pick your topic. See what books are available and then check their gravity.

The place to find the most ebooks to sell is www.Clickbank.com. While writing this article Clickbank.com has paid out $1,362.566,085.00 in affiliate commissions to date. A Clickbank affiliate makes a sale in the world every 3 seconds.

At the university I learned how to spy on the competition with the keyword spy tool. You find out what keywords the competition uses for success and you set yourself up to start taking their business away.

I am not a writer as you can probably tell. That is why I use the free university online marketing tools, like Rapid Writer to spin my articles. This is also included for free. They even offer free web hosting.

If you are out of work, this is a great way to brush up on your marketing skills, to make yourself a more valuable employee. This knowledge may also increase your hiring wage. You can also get certified in certain online marketing practices for cheap.

The university were I learned my marketing skills is having a one week trial membership for only $1. You can check out every single thing in the university for a buck. The best place to start is the user forums. The rags to riches stories are everywhere. It will almost bring tears to your eyes when you read the success stories. You do not need even need a high school diploma to join.

Everyone helps each other as a community. If you have a problem just post it in the forum. You will have people offering assistance that are experts. Some make 5k a day and are there to help guide you to success.

Are you interested in applying for a new job or are you looking for a career change? If you are, you are advised to attend career fairs, as they are one of the best places to gather information on who is hiring, what type of jobs are available, and what type of qualifications are needed. In fact, career fairs are also a great way to apply for jobs. While career fairs are nice to attend, they can sometimes be difficult to find.

Before outlining exactly how you can go about finding career fairs, it is important that you first know exactly what they are. Career fairs are events that are almost always open to the general public and held in public locations, like shopping malls. Although career fairs can vary, most employer participants set up their own tables or booths. These booths are often accompanied by printed information, brochures, or pictures about the company in question. Each booth is often staffed with a couple of company representatives; representatives who are able to accept applications or resumes, as well as answer any questions that job seekers may have.

Now that you know what career fairs are, you may be wondering exactly how you can go about finding them. When it comes to finding a career fair, one of the best things that you can do is keep your eyes and your ears open. For instance, many of the career fairs that are hosted in shopping centers are advertised weeks or sometimes even months in advance. Since career fairs are commonly held in local shopping centers, you are advised to always be on the lookout for any career fair signs or banners. If you are unable to visit your local shopping center or other public establishments, you can always trying calling them once a month or so to see if any career fairs are scheduled for the future.

Career fairs are often advertised in local newspapers as well. While information about a career fair may appear in different newspaper sections, it is common to find information about them in the employment section of a newspaper. Although it isn’t as common as newspaper advertisements, many career fairs are also advertised online. If you have access to any local business websites or message boards, you may be able to find information on an upcoming career fair.

Community boards are another way that career fair organizers go about advertising their upcoming career fairs. Since most career fairs are planned months in advance, many organizers have the time to go around the neighborhood and hang-up signs. Many career fairs are advertised on college campus community bulletin boards. Businesses where those looking for work are likely to hang out may also have bulletin boards that may have information on available job openings or career fairs. These types of businesses tend to include restaurants or coffee houses.

You are also advised to contact your local career center, which is sometimes referred to as a career counseling center. These types of centers are where you should be able to receive assistance with finding a job. Most career centers are staffed with those who are educated on the art of finding, applying for, and landing a job. If you do have a local career center in or around your community, they are often the first ones to know about an upcoming career fair. That is why it is advised that you contact your local career center to ask if they know about any upcoming career fairs. If they do, be sure to get the important information, like when and where.

By keeping the above mentioned points in mind, you should be able to find and attend any career fairs that happen in or around your place of residence. For the best chance of success, when attending a career fair, make sure that you bring multiple copies of your resume, dress for success, and be prepared for an onsite interview, because they do occasionally happen.

There are still plenty of jobs in recession that do not require a degree. When times are tough and you need work, here are a few jobs that you can fall back on.

Maids and Housekeepers – Finding work as a housekeeper is best done in your local neighborhood through reputation or posting your credentials in libraries. There is a lot of manual labor but if you develop a relationship with the homeowner, you might get more referrals from their friends.

Lawn mowing – This type of work is done pretty quickly if you have a bunch of people who can separate the jobs. Get a worker for mowing, one for putting fertilizer and another for raking the grass. You might be able to finish a job in less than 30 minutes and move on to the next.

Taxi and Chauffeur – If you enjoy driving and are good with traffic routes, you can work as a chauffeur or taxi driver. The hours can be long and you might get some unruly customers, but once in a while you get a good tip for driving people to airports or farther destinations.

Security Guards - There is a bit of risk involved as a security guard but it usually only requires a background check and willingness to take on late hours. This is a difficult job to take on if you have a family or are responsible for other people with morning hours. It will also be initially hard to adjust to the sleeping times.

Fast food cook - There is guaranteed employment as fast food cook. The reason is the 300% turnover rate in this profession. Many people quit their fast food jobs for various reasons and you can take advantage of the opening. It does not take too long to learn the techniques and guidelines for how food is cooked and served.

If you find yourself searching the internet for How To Find Your Dream Career more often than you’d like to admit then this article could be the very answer you’ve been longing for and assist you in finally figuring out what you want to do with your life.

It is very likely that there are various reasons why you are still searching for How To Find Your Dream Career and not actually pursuing your perfect path yet, however, by the end of this page that may no longer pose as a problem for you.

I want you to ask yourself something and answer as honestly as you possibly can.

Do you REALLY want to know how to find your dream career or do you silently wish you could be in business for yourself or work from the comforts of your own home?

There is no wrong answer to this question and whether or not you answered yes or no, the solution will still be available throughout this article.

I have discovered that most people I talk to are dissatisfied with working for somebody else at a set salary and constantly keep searching for that ideal career when what they want deep down is to be in their own business. On the other hand, I have talked to hundreds of people that have no idea what they want to do with their lives and others who know exactly what they want but don’t know how to go about making it happen.

Which one of these three predicaments do you find yourself in?

I want to be blank but I don’t have the money for college.

I want to work from home but don’t know how to begin.

I honestly have no idea what I want to do.

Let’s go over each one of the above individually and see if we can’t come up with the ultimate answer you were hoping to uncover while searching specifically for How To Find Your Dream Career!

A1. My best friend Anica has know since she was 6 years old that when she was all grown up she would strive to be a Veterinarian. Immediately after graduating High School she attended a low cost college and completed her Vet Tech Program. A Vet Tech is half way to becoming a Veterinarian so Anica knew she would still need to attend 4 more years of College and come up with $100,000.00 to cover her tuition. She had to work while attending college to cover her daily living expenses such as food and rent which made it hard for her to devote a decent amount of time to achieve the great grades that the Veterinary Schools require. Anica applied to all 28 of the Colleges around the world at $100.00 an application and was heart broken when she did not received one acceptance letter. For almost 5 years Anica completely abandoned her dream career of being a Veterinarian until we put our heads together and worked out the perfect plan to get this girl accepted into the Vet School of her choice. Anica already spent $2,800.00 in application fees to apply for these schools, still owed $28,000.00 in existing loans and feared that it would not only be a waste of money to try and apply again with her grades but that there was no way she would come up with the money for tuition even if she did get accepted.

Many of our clients have been able to build their businesses successfully as a direct result of outsourcing. One of the most common jobs that they outsource is appointment setting. If your company does any type of outside sales (and most do) having an outsourced telemarketing department is ideal. Think about it, if you tried to hire telemarketers in house, you have to set up office space, get office furniture, get special phone lines installed, get computers, etc. You even have to either manage them yourself or hire someone else to make sure that they’re showing up on time, working their agreed upon shift, calling properly, reading the scripts properly and performing the way that you want them to.Â

Yet when you outsource your appointment setting, all you do is have your sales force (or yourself) show up to prescheduled appointments and write up deals. That’s it! No trouble no hassle no headaches. All of this for an employee that costs around $5 per hour.

As a small business owner, you can also use virtual assistants to contact your existing clients and cross sell them on additional products and services (a very successful and profitable strategy). In addition, they can serve as an answering service when you’re out of the office, handle your billing / payments & collections, perform accounting and bookkeeping and more. Some mortgage companies use outsourced workers to call homeowners and sell them mortgages over the phone.

Realtors use virtual assistants to help them run their offices. Their reps help them prepare documents, upload listings, answer phones, do internet marketing, send out client newsletters and more. Other businesses have outsourced reps handling some of their marketing functions. These include internet marketing. There are over 50,000 free classified ad sites on the internet other than Craigslist. Some business owners have their outsourced marketing reps posting ads on these sites each month. They also design their print and internet ads, launch their direct mail campaigns, fulfill information request orders, perform E-blasts, perform “Live Chat” for their website, perform search engine optimization, blogging, writing and posting articles online, updating their website monthly, and much more. Some accounting companies even have outsourced reps doing their clients bookkeeping (unbeknownst to their clients). Other companies have outsourced reps doing actual sales entirely over the phone and internet.

This article was written to offer some hope for frustrated capable employees on the one hand and frustrated unqualified employees on the other hand.

Career building can be defined as progress into higher ranking jobs with different and more challenging responsibilities, what is known as job enrichment. It can also mean progress into another job where the match between personality traits and job requirements is a better fit, what is known as job rotation. Sometimes such career building can go along with promotion and higher remuneration.

Career building is normally possible in three ways.

If you are already a working adult, it means you have some sort of scholastic qualification, a certificate of proficiency, a degree or a technical artisan qualification. In other words we can say that you are proficient in some or other occupational discipline either through study, experience or both. If you want to stay in your present discipline like for instance marketing, finance or fitter and turner, the only way for career building upward, is into supervisory and managerial positions. To achieve this type of career building, you must improve your supervisory, managerial and leadership skills. We call this vertical career building. If you already have these skills, vertical career building can be achieved by grasping career opportunities that may come along, either in your present employer organization or in another organization.

Career building can also take place by moving from one discipline to another more lucrative or desirable discipline. This means you will have to learn new theories and practices to comply with the new job requirements. We call this horizontal career building. This move is desirable if you can get a better fit for your personal talents or interests.

Such a career change strategy will require good planning and effort to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills base for your horizontal career building. After your career change move, vertical career opportunities will again only be possible by learning the skills of supervision, management and leadership.

The third way to achieve career building is to start your own business. If it proofs to be a success and you can remain in business, the only way to grow and expand is to employ other experts to handle the work load. Again you will have to apply the principles of supervision, management and leadership and hopefully provide career opportunities to others, who may join your business.

So, it seems that whatever way you choose for career building, you cannot escape from skills training in supervision, management and leadership; not even if you are professionally qualified as a dentist, medical doctor or lawyer. Even if you operate a one-man business, you must interact with suppliers and customers, where you are going to need a lot of this knowledge to treat them to your own ultimate benefit.

Some people achieve career building through the application of nepotism (appointment of unqualified favoured friends and family members) or politically motivated appointments, which normally turns out into frustration for the job holder, subordinates and superiors, if job requirements cannot be met by the job holder.

If you want to be good in your job, whatever job that may be, you must also have the skills of supervision, management and leadership. Even the lowest level job need the application of the principles of supervision, as they apply to all jobs.

However, gaining the necessary skills is only one half of the recipe for rapid career building, as the most important ingredient must yet follow, by proving the results of learning through a high level of performance. A high level of performance in job key performance areas, as revealed by measurements of the job key performance indicators against targets or standards, will be the ultimate proof of job maturity and job satisfaction. This is also called performance management. Performance in a job can in itself also lead to career opportunities opening for you.

Normally, in order to comply with the law, you must earn a relevant driver license to drive a vehicle on a public road in any country. If you want to become a doctor, you must first earn the relevant qualifications to get your license to apply your skills in the medical profession. Likewise, if you want to become an engineer or lawyer you must first earn your qualifications by formal studies and pass certain minimum standards, before the relevant degree can be bestowed on you, as your license to operate in your particular sphere of expertise. If you aspire to become a Supervisor, Manager or Top Level Manager, you must also earn your relevant license to operate in such positions, the same way that the drivers, doctors, engineers and lawyers do. Otherwise, you can never claim to be a career professional as a Supervisor, Manager or Top Level Manager, as you will be trying to drive a section, department or organization without a proper license. This license is your key to career building.

Career building even starts at the youngest of ages. Yes, with your children. You can help them profoundly by triggering their interest in hobbies, crafts, sport, music and nature. The earlier they can discover their talents, the earlier they can start to develop it. If you give attention to this aspect of Child Career Building, they will be in a better position to choose their careers according to their interests and talents, when that time of imminent choice-making arrives. It will provide them with better career opportunities according to their best talents.

Above all, if you want to be successful with raising your kids and ensure that they become successful and the best possible world citizens, you are going to need some parenting skills as well.

Child Career Building is not a sole responsibility of schools and teachers. Children are far more influenced by parents than by teachers. Parental influence is the single most important factor in Child Career Building, especially so in the early stages of Child Career Building.

Child cognitive, intellectual and psychological building can be a culmination of genes, circumstances, environment and parental influence, of which parental influence is the most dominant and critical factor to impact on Child Career Building and behavior. With the right knowledge, parental influence can also be the easiest to apply for the beneficial building of cognitive, intellectual and psychological processes in children. Parents must fulfill their parental duty and prepare their children for the best career opportunities.
Most adults who end up as World Class Heroes and Champions started building their talents from an early childhood age.

It is plain knowledge that the resume is probably the most important factor in determining whether you get an interview call or not. Getting an interview is your final opportunity to show the client that you are indeed the perfect candidate for the available job. But to get there you need to make sure you have a resume that stands out amongst the hundreds of other applications.

Job openings are advertised by companies of all sizes in newspapers and on classified websites with a career section. This is done primarily to avoid foul play and hiring unsuitable people through personal contacts. It also helps ensure that the company taps into a richer, more diversely experienced candidate pool with a higher likelihood of finding the right person for the job.

HR personnel can only spend less than a minute on each resume before deciding if it deserves a second appraisal or not. Each job opening receives hundreds of applications especially in the case of large companies and jobs that are of a more general, less authoritative nature. Resumes are efficiently sorted based on several criteria including usage of words and formatting. Education and past work experience are also key in more senior positions. A tiny fraction of the initial resumes ever make it to the second review and even fewer candidates get called for the final interview stage of the hiring process.

Be thorough while checking your resume for mistakes. Since you have been working on your resume for weeks it is easy for you to overlook simple errors that may be visible to the person reviewing your application. Get your resume rechecked by friends and family. Use a simple yet professional layout and font, taking care to arrange your strengths and accomplishments in a way that is easily noticeable. Remember that you want your appraiser to consider you as a serious candidate within a minute or so of reading your resume.

Spend a few hours a day to come up with different versions of your resume depending on the kind of positions and jobs you are applying for. Keep in mind that the closer your abilities and career experiences match with the employer’s requirements the higher the chances of you getting an interview call. Employers are not interested in unrelated particulars about your past. They need to be sure that you can add something extra that none of the other candidates can bring to the job. Convey only those skills that are related to your job be it a job in sales or in accounting.

Career fair is an interactive job resource designed for people of all ages. If you desire to find the right career, discover different career options, or plan future education and training, you’ve come to the correct place! If you are interested to start a new career or if you are looking for a new job environment, you can always visit a career fair, because they are one of the best places to gather information on what type of jobs are available, and what type of qualifications are needed. While career fairs are easy to attend, they can sometimes be difficult to find.
Before outlining exactly how you can go about finding career fairs, it is very important that you first know exactly what they are. Career fairs are actions that are almost always open to the general community and held in public locations, like shopping malls. Although career fairs can differ, most employer participants set up their own tables or stands. These stands are often accompanied by printed information, brochures, or pictures about the company in question. Each stands are often occupied with a couple of company representatives; representatives who are able to accept applications or resumes, as well as answer any questions that job seekers may have.
Now that you know what career fairs are, you may be wondering exactly how you can go about finding them. While it comes to finding a career fair, one of the finest things that you can do is keep your eyes and your ears open. For example, many of the career fairs that are hosted in shopping centers are advertised weeks or sometimes even months in advance. Since career fairs are generally held in local shopping centers, you are advised to always be on the watch out for any career fair signs or banners. If you are not capable to visit your local shopping center or other public establishments, you can always trying calling them once a month or so to see if any career fairs are listed for the future.
Career fairs are often advertised in local newspapers as well. While in sequence about a career fair may appear in different newspaper sections, it is common to find information about them in the employment section of a newspaper. Although it is not as common as newspaper advertisements, many career fairs are also advertised online. If you have rights to use to any local business websites or message boards, you may be able to find information on an upcoming career fair.
Community boards are a new way that career fair organizers go about advertising their upcoming career fairs. Since most career fairs are planned months in advance, many organizers have the time to go around the neighborhood and hang-up signs. Lots of career fairs are advertised on college campus community bulletin boards. Businesses where those looking for work are likely to hang out may also have bulletin boards that may have information on available job openings or career fairs. These sorts of businesses tend to include restaurants or coffee houses.
You can also visit your local career counseling center, where you will get very useful suggestions and advises. These kinds of centers are where you should be able to receive assistance with finding a job. Most career centers are staffed with those who are educated on the art of finding, applying for, and landing a job. If you do include a local career center in or around your community, they are often the first ones to know about an upcoming career fair. That is why it is advised that you get in touch with your local career center to ask if they know about any upcoming career fairs. If they do, be sure to get the important information, like when and where.
